This is the official kick-off to my next Get Your Rear In Gear event! Thank you very much to those who have already donated for this event or donated in the past; that means more than you can even imagine.
On November 10th, my sister Rachel and I will be walking and leading a team at the 5K event in Alexandria. The event is being held at Fort Hunt Park and will start bright and early at 8:30 a.m. We'll be walking, but you are more than welcome to run in the race.
As many of you know, Get Your Rear In Gear means a lot to me, Rachel, and our family. Our mother, Mary Kay Sanford, passed away in 2006 from colon cancer and since then, we have been raising funds with various organizations in her memory. The Get Your Rear In Gear races are great avenues to raise money and raise awareness of this awful disease.
If you are in the D.C. area that weekend and can run, please join us by registering on the Team Sanford website. If you are not able to run and would like to donate instead, you can do that on our team website as well.
